The CGSA consists of nine elected officials, the President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, and five representatives for each discipline of chemistry (inorganic, organic, analytical, physical, and biochemistry). These nine motivated graduate students work together to create new and exciting opportunities for the UIC chemistry graduate students. However, even graduate students that are not elected officials can still be involved. Our two subcommittees, graduate women in chemistry (GWiCh) and the safety officers committee (SOC) are a great way for anyone to become more involved in the department.
