About
Meet our member at large, Eva! She is a 4th-year graduate student working in Prof. Jordi Cabana's lab. She began her Ph.D. researching synthetic methods for surface-modified cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries and analyzing the effect on surface reactions that determine electrochemical performance. Currently, she is focusing on synchrotron-based imaging methods, such as X-ray fluorescence nanoprobe mapping and tomography, and transmission X-ray microscopy nano- and micro-computed tomography (see computer screens in photo) of battery materials both in-situ and ex-situ.
Eva's hobbies include: knitting (contact her if you'd like to start a knitting circle), taking care of her extensive plant collection, hanging with her kitty-cat-buddies, playing the vibraphone, antiquing/restoring old furniture, woodworking, and crafting in general.
